Does anyone know anything about the Terrance Ross rumor?

There is a rumor going around crediting Eric Bossi (very good recruiting analyst who writes for a Kansas site) with the story that current Maryland commit, Terrence Ross, a 6'5' SG from Montrose Christian, is considering rescinding that commitment and choosing Kentucky.

From what I hear, Maggard says there could be some credibility to the rumor.

Rivals has him as the #43 player in the 2010 class. I also forgot to mention that I heard he might be leaving because he wants a Nike school. Would be great if we got both him and Selby because of Nike!

FYI - Terrence Jones and Terrance Ross are both good friends.

There could be something to the Ross thing but it is very early in the stages. There are a lot of Nike Schools, there are a lot of good Nike schools. Ross might be looking to go to a Nike school but if he chooses to come to UK it won't be because of Nike. There are a ton of Nike schools he could go too.

We need to guards in this class, IMO. We need one more in the last class or we should have kept Galloway or Liggins needs to come back soon.

Sounds good to me! I know I'm not a personal fan of Maggard, but he did say Ross was a definite possibility! From the few videos I've seen, I like the kid's game. I'd love to have him at UK!

Here is some great Video of Ross this past weekend at the National Hoops Festival. There was definitely a Kentucky coach present at the tourney(Dont know who)or who they were actually watching but this kid can definitely shoot the basketball.

Saveuk, what kinda shot do we have at this kid?

I have no clue what shot we have or if UK will or is going after this kid really hard. It is in the really early stagest. I'm guessing UK would have to do what they normally would do and want to spend some time evaluating Ross.

But he has expressed interest in UK and UK has given some indication that they are interested in looking more into him maybe getting a UK offer.

For now I don't know what the chances are we get him. I don't even know if UK is going to offer him

Also, for the record, Dave Telep recently tweeted that T.Ross is EXTREMELY underrated by their Rivals service after he witnessed his high school game this past week, then indicating that he will definitely be moving up in the rankings. He could end up a five star, scouts love this kid more and more recently.

Saw a video of his team playing, and the kids jumper is SICK. So smooth and great form, and from the video above you can tell he can sky as well.

Would not complain taking this kid instead of Doron Lamb, but if we got the class Save mentioned above, I would be esctatic.

This kid would be an excellent addition to UK's squad!

This is from a poster on TBK:

This kid has athletic ability as well as a nice shooting stroke

(T.Ross 2010)
After a summer away from the AAU circuit, Terrence Ross has now reclaimed his place in the high school basketball spotlight.

At the Nike-sponsored National High School Hoops Festival at Wise High School in Prince George’s County this weekend, Ross was at his best.

ESPNU 100 prospect and future Maryland wing Terrence Ross (Portland, Ore./Montrose Christian) was the top performer of the day, scoring 32 points in a win against St. Mary's Ryken (Md.).

NBE Basketball Report attempted to get some post-game clarification on the status of Ross’ commitment to UM.

Terrence Ross, who did not sign a letter-of-intent to attend Maryland after verbally committing to the Terrapins, will not comment on why he didn’t make it official. When pressed, a Montrose assistant said that the coaching staff doesn’t want reporters talking to Ross about it. “Only about the game,” an assistant said.
