Kind of surprising given the year they had. Wont find out who and where they play until tomorrow.

So the Bat Cats get to go to Gary, Indiana as a #2 Seed to play Kent State on Friday.

Purdue is the #1 Seed and they will play #4 Valpariso.

Lexington isn't good enough to host a regional but Gary, Indiana- murder capital of the world gets to host a region.

UK got hosed.  Plain and simple.

UK definitely got hosed!!!  I know people say that UK fans are paranoid that the NCAA is out to get them but honestly.....it's true!  The NCAA likes to stick it to us every chance they get!  Now...the BATCATS just need to go out and prove them wrong - as usual!!!

Well I think this will give them some added motivation that is for sure.

Apparently the NCAA chose Purdue as a regional host knowing they can't even play on their own field because it is being renovated. Once again folks wonder why UK fans think the NCAA is out to get them.

This is an example of why I get tired of people complaining about football not producing a "true champ".  Anytime the NCAA is involved, the seeding of teams and where they play is so horrible that even in a tournament format a "true champion" isn't crowned that often.  I don't follow college baseball much at all but it appears UK really got a bad deal here.  I was down in Nashville over the weekend and my cousin, who is a Vandy fan, was listening to the Vandy/MSU championship game and he told me how the Vandy announcers couldn't believe UK wasn't awarded a regional.
