UK opens up SEC play at Vandy on Thursday Jan 10

They will play Florida, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Auburn and Texas A&M twice and all eight other SEC opponents once each.

1st thoughts...

They have two Thurs-Saturday turnarounds... and no Sunday games. Also play 2 games every week... no breaks now.

If UK were to make it to SEC Tourney Finals... they would play atleast 5 games in 11 days (possibly  6 depending on new Tourney format)

I'd say Anthony Grant has a big smile.... his x2 opponent is Tennessee, Miss St. Auburn, LSU, and UGA.

Billy D and the Gators on the other hand have Mizzou, UK , Arkansas, Miss St. and Georgia x2. They also go to A&M and Tennessee.

One other thing I noticed today, the SEC Tournament, the first two games on Friday afternoon are now going to be broadcast on ESPNU rather than the SEC Network.
