Who's your Top 10 going into Christmas Break?

Here is mine:

1: Texas - Should be KU but I just think Texas is better right now and more prepared to win
a big game right now. Prediction: KU will soon overtake them once they get a
few tough quality games under their belt.
2: Kansas - Henry is the "X" factor. He might mean the difference between KU having a
title instead of UK. If we had gotten Henry I think we win the title. All that could
change over the next month or so, we shall see. Cousins is a lot better than
I thought he was and I already thought he be a beast.

3: Syracuse - For now I'll put them here but when other teams start getting better I don't
think they will remain in the top 5.
4: Duke - The most fundamentally sound team in college basketball. They can beat you by
simply excuting better than you.
5: Michigan State - i don't care what you say, they are better than their losses indicate

6: Kentucky - but we have a long ways to go but we have the most upside than any other
team that is a legit contender, a lot more. They got to get their first.

7: Villanova - Can't figure them out yet. They seem like they should be better but they don't
play like it.
8: WVU - Look, rather you like Huggins or not, the guy can flat out coach
9: UNC - Doesn't have a bad loss on their record and they are still every inexperienced. They are no where close to the youth and inexperience of UK but they rank 2nd IMO with the most upside throughout the season.
10: Purude - I guess I got to put them in here somewhere, lol. IMO, they are overrated

Teams to watch: Tennesse is the real deal if they want to be, lol. OSU with a Evan Turner is a scary team. Butler is the most overrated preseason team EVER. Once or IF Ole Miss can come together as a team they are a very dangerous team.

Predictions: If things work out the way I think they will by the end of the season it will a small group of teams with a legit shot and a huge gap to the next group of teams. In the end I think UK, KU, Texas, UNC, Villanova, OSU (depending on Turner's return), and MSU will be way above the other teams

I think Kansas, Cuse and UK are close on the Longhorns heels. MSU, Duke, Nova and UNC are the next group. If Demarcus can get to a point that he is playing 25 plus minutes a game I will buy UK all day long.; ▶ Reply to This

However, I fully expect UK to be a legit title contender, if not the best team in the country come tournament time. I still think our defense is horrible. Horrible in the sense that I think this team can be the best defensive team in the country. I actually think our defense is good but we need to be really good or great.

Here is the thing with UK that really excites me.We know UK is going to be A WHOLE LOT more experienced next year, A WHOLE LOT MORE. If we have the class I think we are going to have I think we will be one of the most talent and deepest teams in the country. However, if we lose Wall, Patterson, and Cousins I still don't think we will be as good next year as we are this year.

But the talent is there for sure. I really do believe we are so talented right now that despite the huge amount of experience and depth we will have next season, this years team is still better.

So when I say UK is not top 5 right now, I really mean it but I also fully expect them to be not only top 5 but a legit title contender come tournament time. UK could easily be the best team in the nation by tournament time and not even close. I don't care how good KU and Texas are, UK could be even way above them but they have to get their first and that is a long ways off.

Think about where UK is right now compared to the other teams. Calipari hasn't even got a final rotation down yet. I don't even know if he close. Now you might think that is a bad thing but I think that shows how good we can be considering we beaten UNC and UConn already.; ▶ Reply to This

They are very good but their biggest problem when talking about the elite teams ( top 25) is that whoever Miss St plays they won't have the best player on the court, most of the time not even the 2nd best player on the court. That is their biggest problem. If you added a SUPERSTAR to that roster they be a top 10 team. Scotty Hopson is the guy they really needed to keep on board.

Ole Miss just has chemistry problems right now. I don't think they have problems with the players, they just got to get use to playing together. A couple of players where asked to step up big time last season when they had people go down for the season and they did. Now you got to mesh the returning stars from injury with the news stars they found last year. Everyone needs to find their new role and accept it.

Cinn is a team to watch out for come tournament time. They have a lot of upside as well, plus they are a team that will get in your face. Those teams are scary, especially when they have talent, speed, and size.

And I think personally that Texas is a better team than Kansas, and even though Kansas has played nobodies and clobbered most of them they do not look overly impressive to me. Come march I think UK has just as good a chance if not better chance to win it all as Texas, and Kansas. Right now I would not want to play either one of them but I think we would match up better with Kansas, but like Save said this team has more up side than any other team so come march nobody will want to play the Big Blue!!!!!; ▶ Reply to This

UK should have no problems winning their SEC games...talent on other teams not even close...as long as cousins continues to improve his on court attitude we will be very tough to beat...

Don't crucify me completely. This was just a quick rundown on my part. I think we could beat KU, but TX and the Orange would give us a run for our money. When we are more consistent with our defense and take care of the ball more, there may be no one that can beat us on a good day. That being said, there are many teams that can beat us on a bad day, and I'm sure that will happen at some point this season, maybe a few times. But hopefully we can learn and get stronger all-around, and be a bruiser at the end of the season. Cheers, GO CATS!; ▶ Reply to This
