WHAT A GREAT GROUP! Just found yall on here. I'm down in Wilmington and we have a whole group of UK fans down here. Good for you for starting this group! We are pilgrims in an unholy land down here in ACC country, haha. Cant say i didnt enjoy watching the recent TarHeel implosion and subsequent disaster the ACC had in football today. Great group, ill spread the word!

You're invited to return to "Lex Vegas" for a weekend of exciting events during UK Homecoming 2009. Last year, many events sold out, so register online today! Featured alumni events include:

Thursday, Oct. 29
Alumni Career Event
This valuable career event will provide alumni with tips and strategies for handling a career change, including discussion on how to make the transition, change the way you approach a job, learn the best way to present your "new" self, and obtain resume writing and interviewing tips.


Friday, Oct. 30
Golf Scramble
Take part in a golf scramble at the scenic University Club of Kentucky. Prizes will be awarded for longest putt, longest drive, and closest to the pin and there will be contests for hole-in-one and putting. Breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided. Former UK athletes including Dermontti Dawson and Kyle Macy will be on hand to interact with the golfers.

Homecoming Halloween Party
At this family-friendly Halloween party you can enjoy music, games and fun! Dress in costume for a chance to win great prizes in the costume contest. Take a stroll through the Haunted Alumni House Hallway, compete in a cakewalk and get your photo taken. Dinner will be provided.

Wildcat Roar
Take part in Wildcat Roar, the official Homecoming pep rally sponsored by the UK Student Activities Board. Event will feature coaches, cheerleaders, mascot and pep band, followed at 9 p.m. by an improv comedy performance by "Saturday Night Live" cast member Tim Meadows and friends.


Saturday, Oct. 31
Parade Watch Breakfast
Enjoy a delicious breakfast featuring fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, pastries, biscuits and gravy, and more. During breakfast, you can step outside and watch as the 2009 UK Homecoming parade passes in front of the King Alumni House.

Classes Without Quizzes
Go back to class, reminisce of your days as a UK student and learn something new along the way in one of two lecture classes. Choose from one of the following: Keeping Your Voice or Remembering UK.

Campus Bus Tour
Board the bus and enjoy the ride as you view the changes on UK's campus. The tour will be led by a UK Student Ambassador and will include stops at the Main Building, W.T. Young Library and the newly renovated UK Bookstore. Enjoy a complimentary light lunch before the tour.

Tailgate Tent Party
Before the big game, enjoy exciting games, entertainment, face painting, giveaways, and performances by the UK cheerleaders, mascot, and pep band at this tailgate party. Food will be provided courtesy of O'Charley's.

Wildcat Wednesdays

Wildcat Wednesdays are an opportunity to meet your fellow UK alumni in Charlotte for fellowship and networking. We also hope this monthly gathering will be an opportunity for alumni to share ideas and events to make the Greater Charlotte UK Alumni Club better. The club hosts a Wildcat Wednesday the third Wednesday of each month around the Uptown area, so if you can't make it to one, be sure to join us for the next month's gathering at another location.

The Ky Alumni Association has extra basketball tickets avaliable for this season!!!
Most of the tickets are for the week night games in November and December.
If you are an association member and are interested, you can purchase the tickets at, Keyword Search: Tickets. The link to the basketball ticket order form is at the bottom of the Ticket Opportunities page.

We root for Davidson too -- they wear red but they are WILDCATS. And this year, Davidson will thrash both Duke and North Carolina in roundball!!
