Kentucky put together an all-around performance in the second round of the NCAA Tourney in a 90-60 victory over Wake Forest. The Wildcats held the Demon Deacons to 33 percent shooting in advancing to the Sweet Sixteen.
Thumbs UpDefense- The Cats played great defense on Thursday against ETSU, but they stepped it up a notch against stiffer competition tonight. Wake shot ju…

Kentucky opened play in the NCAA Tournament with a 100-71 victory over East Tennessee State behind 29 points from Eric Bledsoe.
Thumbs UpFocused & Prepared- From the opening tip of this game, the Cats were completely focused on the task at hand. I don't recall seeing a player with a blank stare on their face or anything of the sort. They were prepared to come ou…

I anxiously awaited the brackets Sunday afternoon after an exhillerating game between U of K and MIss State. Takes a deep breath, wow, what an incredible game. Cal was so right when he told the kids, thats why you play every second. This team wants to win and continues to amaze others. I am personally tired of hearing how good Miss State played Sunday, you know what....UK played just as good. Their effort and intensity is as good as I have seen in a while,

Mississippi State looked to have the SEC Tournament Championship wrapped up, but a last second basket by DeMarcus Cousins in regulation sent the game into overtime, where John Wall scored seven points and Kentucky won 75-74.
Thumbs UpEric Bledsoe- I've been all over Bledsoe this season for questionable defense and bad decision-making, but he stepped up today. Some of tho…

First of all, I don't want to hear a Mississippi State fan complain that Kentucky had to hit a lucky shot to beat the Bulldogs because I remember a couple of years ago in the SEC tournament when State's Jamont Gordon hit a 3 from his fanny to help beat the Cats. Sometimes turn-about is fair play.
Good teams find a way to win. Even when you aren't playing your best, good teams find a way to win. Even when you've been outplayed and things are going against you, good teams find a way to win.…

Kentucky 74
Tennessee 45
How good does that sound? Just say it a few times and let it roll off your tongue - "Kentucky 74....Tennessee 45".
When I was growing up in Southern Indiana, we would call that "getting taken to the woodshed". Translation - that was a major butt-kicking by the Kentucky Wildcats over Tennessee.....or as Crystal Ball likes to say, "The Tennessee Department of Corrections". Is this the UK basketball team that fans have waited all year to see?

I just got done talking to a guy (UL connected) who told me that Samardo has told the UL staff that he is thinking about entering the NBA Draft. The UL staff/Pitino told Samardo his little spill about how he doesn't think he is ready....blah blah...and Samardo told Pitino that he and his family alone will make the decision after the season is over (which shouldn't take very long...LOL), bascially saying that Pitino will not have a input if Samardo stays or goes. Samardo also informed several

We all obviously know the answer to the question, but it's obvious the job he did this year and will continue to do. Coaches are such a jealous bunch. Vandy had a good year, but Kevin Stallings COTY. I mean he had great talent, returning seniors and still finished second. My hope is the players decide to ramp it up and open up a can of whamp rear-end on teh SEC and NCAA for their coach.
