Again, first I'll let this Enes stuff figure itself out. But I know during the meantime UK fans will take a lot of heat/crap from UL fans. Just take it and sit back. I can't tell you how this Enes Kanter stuff will work out...I have no way of predicting what the NCAA will do. However, I can tell you this much....The NCAA has had this "all of a sudden" information coming out for awhile and people in the media have been saying for days that they are hearing things will be okay.
Anyways....whateve…

Thumbs Up:
- Offensive Line - 230 rushing yards; 0 sacks... that's some serious O-line work. I'd say Mike Summers lived up to the hype as a new coach. These guys just consistently knocked the UL defensive line off the ball the entire day. They also provided Hartline quality protection. Even more impressive when you think of the youth and inexperience on this line, 3 new starters were broken in yesterday and they lived up to the hype and praise heaped upon them during…

In case you're new to the site, "Upon Further Review" is a postgame synopsis of the Kentucky game that I write each week. It's usually informative, sometimes funny, and typically way too long. The grammar may be bad, there will probably be misspellings, and I also make up words. I write like I talk, so try to read it like a guy is talking this to you because I didn't get high grades in english, writing, or typing for that matter. To be clear, I'm not actually Dermontti Dawson but I did see hi…

I wasn't surprised that Mike Hartline won the starting quarterback job with Kentucky, but I was disappointed that Morgan Newton didn't improve enough during the off season to beat Hartline out for the job.
After the Cats win over Louisville, I now see why Hartline won the job.
I think this was one of Hartline's best performances as UK's quarterback. I think his performance last year against South Carolina down at Columbia before he got hurt was his best game. Today may rival that performance.…

On the positive side, Kentucky has never been deeper at the quarterback position. In past years, there was a huge fear of what would happen if Couch went down, Lorenzen went down or Woodson went down. This year Kentucky has three quarterbacks with the ability to win in the SEC.
On the negative side, Mike Hartline is probably one of the most heavily criticized quarterbacks in the history of Kentucky football. When he makes a mistake, the negativity from the fans hangs in the air at Commonwealth…

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Krystal Ball. Can you believe it, football season is finally here and I for one can't wait. Lots of big games this week and none bigger than the one up the road. With that in mind let's see who will win this weekend.
Kentucky at Louisville - (3:30 ABC) So much has already been written about this game. You have the historic match-up of two African-American Head Coaches. Kentucky looking to win four in a row against the Cardinals. You also have th…

The running back stable of the 2010 Wildcats is as deep as I can ever remember the unit being. It is no secret that the headliner of the group is SR. Derrick Locke. Derrick has proven during his time with the Cats to not only be a burner but also a back who is very explosive when hitting his gaps. In my estimation Locke has to get 25 touches a game whether it be on the ground or on quick hitters out of the backfield. Himself and Randall Cobb are guys that are good enough to make Kentucky dangero…

Any old football documentary will tell you that the heart and soul of a football team is located along the trenches. The glitz and glamour of scoring touchdowns and being on magazine covers is usually reserved for the offensive "skill" position players. On defense, several athletes that have eventually made big time splashes in college (and later in the pros) hav…
