Ryan Lemond Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down: LSU-UK

This is sure turning out to be a special season for the Kentucky Wildcats. As John Calipari likes to say, "We won another Super Bowl!" He's right! Any win on the road in the SEC is a good win, but to go on someone's home floor with their biggest crowd of the season on hand and just embarrass them is not an everyday occurence in this conference.

Wildcat Blue Blog Do You want to write for the Wildcat Blue Blog???

Hello all,

I am actually looking for two writers to use in the very near future for my UK blog; www.wildcatblueblog.com

The one priority and one that I can use right away is a good FOOTBALL writer .... Someone that is pretty knowledgable on football and does not mind covering recruiting and the occasional feature story on the team. I am thinking of a Rob Gidel type that is knowledgable and has a passion for football...

SaveUK Does Bill Self run a clean Kansas Basketball program? You be the judge

Here to a link to blog a friend found and emailed to me. What is your opinion? Here some interesting things from it but there is a lot more so check out the link below. The link includes a list of NCAA violation codes and how many years KU has been on probation. Including a bunch of other interesting stuff. It also includes a long list of very bad behavior from KU players under Bill Self. So next time you hear a KU fan talk about how Cousins is a "thug" because he has an attitude on the court

The Krystal Ball Krystal Ball: The Super Bowl Edition

Hello everyone and welcome back to another edition of The Krystal Ball. I want to thank everyone who commented during the thread I put up last night. I think on non-UK game nights we can do more of that. Last week was a pretty good one for the 'Ol KB going 5-1 again. Another big weekend in the SEC so here goes.

Kentucky at LSU--- (4:00 WKYT-SEC Network)--- The Cats have bounced back nicely since the loss to South Carolina and should keep

SMOKIN' JOE 63 Yard Field Goal Is Awesome!!!!

The guy that holds a 63 yard field goal is Tom Dempsey. He had a half right foot that he kicked with. His right arm was about 2/3's the length of a normal arm. He had no right hand. He played for 2 or 3 teams that I know of. Rams, Saints and the Eagles are all that I can think of, however there may be more. He had a special shoe that he wore that was flat across the front. I think he was playing for the Saints when he kicked the field goal. However back then the goal post were on the zero yard l… Continue

The Fake Dermontti Dawson Kentucky's 2010 Football Recruiting Class

Mychal Bailey DB 6'0 185 LaGrange, Ga. (JUCO) Bailey continues the LaGrange pipeline Kentucky has built. He will come in as a junior out of JUCO with three years of eligibility to play two. Bailey looks to fit in as a Cornerback or Safety at Kentucky and while he weighs in at less than 200 pounds, he packs quite a punch. Kentucky is unlikely to use a redshirt on him, and he has the tools to provide the most “instant impact” play-making ability of anyone UK will bring into this clas… Continue

PerryLGreer Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down: Ole Miss

Kentucky defeated the Rebels of Ole Miss tonight 85-75 to move to 21-1, 6-1 on the season. In a game that was never really in doubt, Kentucky fans saw a return to form by John Wall and another monstrous effort from DeMarcus Cousins. Let us look a little deeper. Shall we? Thumbs Up John Wall- The freshman from Raleigh played a game more typical of what the country expects from him this evening, scoring 17 points on 60% shooting from the floor (including 2-3 from beyo… Continue

The Fake Dermontti Dawson Football recruiting update

Info is flying today. Miles Simpson is set to announce his decision tomorrow, as is DJ Howard. The insiders that think both will pick Kentucky are starting to mount up. Rumors had been that Simpson was leaning towards Illinois up to last night, and Howard was leaning towards Clemson after having his offer pulled by Auburn. Things change fast and now there is a serious possibility Kentucky might take both. Kentucky ink is reporting that TE Alex Smith will sign with Kentucky on Wednesday. Kenari… Continue

SaveUK UK Fball recruiting: Why would anyone put more faith into the "Star System" by a recruiting service over JOKER's evaluations?

It amazes me how so many UK fans put a lot of more trust and faith into what some recruiting service says over what Joker's (who has been the main recruiter for UK since Brooks took over at UK) evaluations say. Many think Joker can't get top elite level athletes to UK. I say Joker has and will. It is the scouting services that have failed more often than not, not Joker. Lets take a good look at what we know now. Did the scouting services pass or fail? Rafael Little - clearly a 4 star or bett… Continue

Grammy Rosebud Fan Blog - What's the problem?

There seems to be a whole lot of discussion going on about what's wrong with first one player and then another on the Wildcat basketball team. Is there a problem other than with Cat haters that refuse to accept the fact that we're back or with unrealistic Cat fans that have forgotten the past too quickly? Questioning the commitment of our players to the team and to the University was bad enough. When PPat's commitment was called into question that was the last straw. That certainly caused a tira… Continue

SaveUK Little improvements would go a long way towards a title

There are many areas we need to continue to improve in and will continue to improve in. There is really no way to know what we will improve in and to what extent we will improve. So I wanted to run down some quick things for each player that are just little improvements, very realistic improvements, that if those little things happened I think it make us the best team in the nation come tournament time. Any improvements beyond that would just be a bonus. So here are some little improvements I w… Continue
