Hello everyone and welcome back to another TKB. Last week was more like it, going a perfect 7-0 making the record for the season 13-6.
It is another huge weekend in the SEC so let's get right to it.
Georgia at Kentucky- (4:00 ESPN) After having the week off, the Wildcats put their 28 game home win streak on the line against the last team to win at Rupp, the Bulldogs. In case you don't remember, March 4, 2009 Georgia won 90-85 in a game I think most of…Continue
Thanks to the folks at ESPN and CBS and their constant efforts to focus on coaches instead of the game we have a new topic to discuss this week concerning UK basketball and sports in general.
Evidently Big Blue Nation and college basketball…Continue

Hello everyone and welcome back to another edition of TKB. Last week was much better for me going 4-2.
It is another big weekend in the SEC so let's get right to it.
Kentucky at South Carolina- (6:00 ESPN) The Wildcats will try to right the ship on Saturday after a tough road loss at Alabama.
UK has lost two in a row in Columbia, two years ago was probably the worst game I can ever remember a UK team playing and of course last year the Game…Continue

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Krystal Ball. So far I haven't had as much success with basketball picks as football, but hey the season is still young. It is another big weekend in the SEC so let's get right to it.
LSU at Kentucky- (4:00 SEC Network- CW in Lexington) First note that due to the Steelers-Ravens game on CBS, the UK game will air on WKYT's second channel here in Central Kentucky.
The Tigers come into the game surprisingly tied…Continue
Whew!!!!! What a weekend for a University of Kentucky all sports fan. The deeper into the weekend we got the more the losses mounted on the field and court and the worse the weather got across the Commonwealth (especially in Eastern Kentucky) so there were no escape opportunities like high school…Continue

Here are the top targets for UK in the 2012 class. No particular order. Players will move around as Calipari and his staff get more evaluations done on players. This just gives you a idea of where UK is right now with different players in the class.
The 2010 season is finally over and it's time for the annual semi-official KSN post-season superlatives. Now you may not remember the ASOKSNPSS awards from last year, so if you need a refresher, you can click HERE. There are some repeat award winners and some new faces on the list this season as well. Remember that the selection comittee took a long time reviewing nominations and…Continue
This is a combination of the three primary databases used to evaluate prospects. I would have liked to add 24/7 sports to this as well, but they have only evaluated a couple of Kentucky's current verbals at this time. The 40-yard dash times are based on times recorded at combines or an estimate based on…Continue

Hello everyone and welcome to another Krystal Ball. It is a huge weekend for the University of Kentucky and for the SEC. It is the first weekend in conference play and Auburn goes for five in a row for the SEC.
Pittsburgh vs. Kentucky- (BBVA Compass Bowl- NOON ESPN) In the month since the bowl games were announced, this game has rivaled only the Sugar Bowl for off the field drama.
Dave Wannstedt was let go as coach of the Panthers, Mike Heywood of…Continue

When Rupp Arena is rocking, there is no better place in the country to watch a college basketball game. When the crowd is excited and on their feet, you can sometimes literally feel Rupp Arena shake. I love going to Rupp when Kentucky is playing a big game. You can feel the "juice" in the air.
But.......I really feel like the folks who are responsible for the game day promotions at a UK basketball game at Rupp Arena are really "dropping the ball"…Continue
