Bet the house - Kentucky is going to beat Tennessee. As a matter of fact, Tennessee practically guaranteed a loss to Kentucky with something that happened more than 24 hours before kickoff.
How in the world could Tennessee let the news get out that they had hired Lane Kiffin as their new head coach on the day before the Vols "bowl game". This UK game is the biggest game of the year for Tennessee. This is their bowl game. This is the "Phil Fulmer Swan Song". It's "Phil Fulmer…

Thumbs Up:
Michael Porter- 5 assists, 4 turnovers, and 5 points. I'll take that every game from Porter. I know he is not a fan favorite on here but when he gets more assists thant turnovers he is doing something. With Liggins pulling his stunt, we desperately need Porter and he provided a solid game.
1st half Jodie Meeks - He at many times had outscored KSU himself with his 24 points in the 1st half. Was on fire and unstoppable. Amazing to watch…

Hello everyone and welcome back to another edition of the Krystal Ball, first I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
Last week wasn't too kind to the old Ball going 1-3, that puts the record for the season at 71-24. A big weekend coming up so let's go to the picks football first.
Kentucky at Tennessee---- In many ways, this is a huge game for both schools, and there are a number of subplots as well. First and foremost is "The Streak." As we all know the…

Only in the Southeastern Conference can you fire your football coach one week and then three weeks later honor him for his contributions to that same school for that same sport he played and has coached for the last 30 plus years.
With that being said, let me set the emotional state of Vol Nation at the present time for you and…

Thumbs Up:
Darius Miller-Was everywhere against D-State. 13 points and 4 assists with important no turnovers (especially after t.o. fest he had at UNC). Was making great passes, getting his hands in for deflections. Just showed his great athletic ability. He does need to pull the trigger on his open outside shots instead of passing.
Mike Porter- Pretty nice game for Mr. Porter. 3 assists, 2 steals, 8 points and most importantly no turnovers. If…

Coach Gillispie was under the weather, but still had a few good quips. Telling reporters Patrick Patterson "may have been surprised he got the ball" as reason he struggled finishing. He also used one "
very" in talking about Liggins improving play. Hear the entire post game press conference…

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Krystal Ball...another overall good week at 5-1. Of course the one game I missed was a doozy, that being the Vandy-Kentucky game.
For the season the Ball is 70-21 in football and 1-1 in basketball. With that being said let's go to the picks. Since Kentucky has the week off to regroup let's start with some hoops.
Delaware State at Kentucky----- I am not going to go on about things that have been talked about already on…

I am not a nice person. I’m usually the deranged fan yelling f-bombs from the stands in a row full of women and children, or the guy screaming expletives at the opposing team’s band as the trombone section passes by. My heart is full of pure blind hatred for many, many things but nothing quite as much as the North Carolina Tar Heels. So it was no surprise that I needed a cigarette and a spooning after I found out that they lost their other Tyler to a wrist injury. Now before you go bashing me…

The old cliché’ is true, you cannot win championships without a point guard. How then does this coaching staff not seek out a prototype to satisfy this need in a depleted roster? We don’t need a Ty Lawson when we have a Patrick Patterson at the 4 or 5 and a Jodie Meeks at the 2. But could we not find a skilled freshman or more probably a Jr. College kid who is versed in leading a winning team that could step in to this program and do what is…

I'm calling on all of my friends to help me. I need some serious help. I don't know what is wrong with me. It's like for the first time in my life, I know I have a problem that needs professional help. Here is the deal: I DON'T CARE ABOUT UK BASKETBALL RIGHT NOW.
I can't even believe I wrote that, but it's true. I have a press pass to go to every game for free, and I have yet to see the Cats play this year. I haven't even Tivo'd the games to watch them at a later date. I don't really…
