Cats in the NFL - Preseason Week 3

Maybe the biggest news for this week is the signing of Glenn Pakulak by the San Diego Chargers. Pakulak who was a fan favorite at UK for his ability to lay a hit as much as for his booming leg. Glenn won the Mosi Tatupu Award as a senior at UK which is given to the nation's best special teams player, but has not been able to lock down a steady job in the NFL. Zach West commits to Kentucky

The Wildcats picked up a sizeable commitment on Wednesday as, Lexington Christian star, Zach West pledged his commitment to Kentucky. West, who checks in at 6'5 and 297 pounds, is currently ranked #14 in the ESPN rankings and #16 by Scout.com at offensive guard. Zack was an ESPNU second team All-American as a junior and was elected to the Army All-American Combine. He is a candidate for 2010 Kentucky Mr. Football and a preseason All-State Selection.

Cats in the NFL - Preseason Week 2

After a very productive first week for several former Cats, Week 2 saw several players struggle to make an impact.



The biggest impact came from Jacob Tamme who saw the end zone for the second straight week. Jacob was on the receiving end of a 21 yard strike from Peyton Manning in the first quarter of the Colts game against Buffalo. Tamme is getting a longer look in the preseason with Dallas Clark battling a leg injury. Tamme currently has four catches for 47 yards. Jacob also… Continue

Cats in the NFL - Training Camp Report

The Wildcats have one of their largest ever groups of former players in NFL camps this summer. Each week, we will track their progress as they look to avoided the dreaded Turk.



Alfonso Smith made the most of his limited touches in his debut in the desert. Alfonso carried the ball three times for nine yards including this six-yard touchdown in the Cardinals win over Houston.

Update: August 10 - Evan Daniels is reporting that Chane will make an unofficial visit to UK on Wednesday.


Chane Behanan of Bowling Green is currently the top rated player in the state of Kentucky for 2011. Behanan holds nine scholarship offers including Louisville, Cincinnati, and West Virginia. He also has been receiving interest from Kentucky, Kansas and Texas. Rivals.com ranks Behanan as the 45th best player in nation in their Rivals 150.…
