That's great to hear. I am excited about seeing our young quarterbacks compete in August. I just wish we could watch the practices. I expect the staff will have a hard time keeping Newton and Mossakowski off the field.
I understand from what I hear regarding summer workouts is that Morgan is the fastest, the strongest and has very healthy throwing arm of all the quartbacks on the team. From other media it is reported that he understands the playbook from cover to cover and spends a huge amount of time in the film room and after 7 on 7 workouts working one on one with starters at the receiver position.
Sounds like UK Football has something special going on with Morgan Newton.
He is a phenomenal talent in every way. When I saw him at the Blue-White game I was really impressed by his size. He looked like he'd grown since last fall, and had been working in the weight room. Physically he's our most impressive QB, including our guys already on the roster.
The only concern I have is that in watching that film, there were a couple of times in those trips formations that he didn't throw to the middle receiver who was completely uncovered both times.
