Hello everyone and welcome back to another Krystal Ball. For the fourth straight week, the 'ol Ball went 5-2, making the season record a pretty good 47-11. Another big slate of games in the SEC this weekend so let's get right to it.
Georgia at Kentucky- (7:30 Comcast Sports- Insight Channel 14 in Lexington) What a difference a week makes. This time last week just about everyone in the Bluegrass was thinking about Big Blue Madness. Well people are still thinking about basketball, but beating Steve Spurrier for the first time now has UK football fans thinking dare we say it, a New Year's Day Bowl.
The Bulldogs have really gotten cranking over the last two weeks with blow out wins over Tennessee and Vandy. In the crazy SEC East the loser of this game will pretty much be out of the race for the title.
Even without Derrick Locke, I think the Cats will win in another shootout and will make it 3 wins in the last 5 against Georgia. Plus we get the added bonus of the lady who is becoming one of my favorite sideline reporters Allison Williams. So it should be good all the way around.
Krystal Ball Says- Kentucky 34-28
Ole Miss at Arkansas- (12:20 SEC Network) The Razorbacks are trying to bounce back from two tough losses and it is uncertain if Ryan Mallett will play this week after suffering a concussion. However Tyler Wilson threw for four touchdowns against Auburn and is more than capable of leading the offense.
Houston Nutt is 2-0 against his old club but I think the home team will take this one.

LSU at Auburn- (3:30 CBS) This is this week's game of the year in the SEC.
Is there any hotter player in football right now than Cam Newton?? Fresh off putting 65 on the board against Arkansas last week, Auburn will entertain one of the best defenses in football, that of Les Miles' Tigers.
Quite a few people are picking LSU to win this one because of Auburn's suspect defense, but I don't think they can score enough points to keep up with Newton and company.
Krystal Ball Says- Auburn 27-21
Alabama at Tennessee- (7:00 ESPN)- The Tide righted their ship last week with a nice win over Ole Miss. The Vols on the other hand have had two weeks to prepare for this one. I don't think it will matter that much.
Tennessee has scored less than 17 points in the last six meetings against 'Bama and I don't think they get to 17 in this one either.
Krystal Ball Says- Alabama 31-14
UAB at Mississippi State- (7:00 ESPNU) The Bulldogs have been the surprise of the SEC this season and are fresh off an upset win down in the swamp last week.
I don't see them having a whole lot of trouble with the Blazers as they get ready for what could be a huge match-up with Kentucky next week.
Krystal Ball Says- Mississippi State 34-13
South Carolina at Vanderbilt- (7:00 Fox Sports South) How crazy is the SEC East this season?? A win here by the Commodores would put them in first place in the division.
The Gamecocks are trying to regroup after a tough loss at Kentucky last week (and it does feel good to say that.) Steve Spurrier's club has lost two of the last three to Vandy but I think they get the road win here.
Krystal Ball Says- South Carolina 24-17
Florida has what could best be described as a much needed week off. Thanks for reading, see you next week.
