The Krystal Ball- The Welcome Home Patrick Patterson Edition

  • Rating: No Rating

Hello everyone and welcome back to another edition of TKB. Last week was a good one going 5-1 which makes the season record 24-14, which should get me off the NCAA Bubble.

Another weekend, another huge set of games in the SEC so let's get to it.

South Carolina at Kentucky- (4:00 SEC Network) After a nice win over Mississippi State on Tuesday the Wildcats entertain Darrin Horn's Game Cocks who have struggled recently losing four in a row.

As the title of this edition suggests, one of my favorite UK players is supposed to be in Rupp on Saturday. Over the last 15 years or so I have had four favorite players. Jeff Sheppard, Tayshaun Prince, Chuck Hayes and now Patrick Patterson.

Back to the game, if Kentucky wants to have any chance of getting the two seed in the East, they can't avoid any slip-ups. One more bonus for me, hopefully this is the last time I have to see Sam Muldrow play..ever.

Georgia at Tennessee- (1:00 CBS) This is another huge game for not only seeding in the SEC Tourney but has NCAA implicatons as well.

The Bulldogs blew a huge chance on Wednesday with their loss to Vandy. This is a must win for Mark Fox's club in order to have any hopes of making the NCAA. Unfortunately for them I don't see them winning in Knoxville.

Ole MIss at Mississippi State- (1:30 SEC Network) This one is for the second seed in the SEC West. The Bulldogs have been struggling while the Rebels used a win over Kentucky to jump start their season.

In this battle of the Mississippi schools, I am going to go with the home team.

Vanderbilt at Auburn- (4:00 SEC Network) Win wins over Kentucky and at Georgia, Vandy has risen to second place in the SEC East.

The Tigers play everyone tough at home and the Commodores could be looking ahead to their battle with Tennessee on Tuesday, but I still think VU wins here.

Krystal Ball Says- Vanderbilt 70-60

Arkansas at Alabama- (7:00 Fox Sports South) The Crimson Tide got a scare from LSU but got a win and now have a four game lead in the SEC West with five games to play.

The Razorbacks are part of that second place log jam and could use a win here. However 'Bama is undefeated at home this year and I think they get the win here.

Krystal Ball Says- Alabama 68-56

Florida at LSU-(Sunday 1:00 ESPN) The Gators sit a top the SEC East and have had a week off to prepare for this one.

However the Tigers are horrible and even if Chandler Parsons doesn't play, the Gators should still roll.

Krystal Ball Says- Florida 79-63

That is it for this week, thanks for reading and for supporting KSN.
