Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down - Central Michigan Edition

Thumbs Up:

47- 10 run - After a pretty bad defensive start the Cats put the on the "lockdown" and took control of the game. That is a pretty amazing run and great defensive play I don't care who you are playing.

Landon Slone - Hard to be the "cigar man" when you play 24 minutes! The fan favorite played another solid game scoring 8 points and 5 rebounds and added 2 assists and a steal. More importantly he played tight and tough defense and led the team in floor burns. It's fun to watch him play his heart out right there on the court.

The end of the weak teams - Well I should say weak non-conference teams because there are quite a few weak teams in the SEC. Anyway, the Cats came away on a 6 game win streak and most importantly did it without any more injuries. They also showed much improvement.

Patrick Patterson - Continues to not only dominate the paint with points and rebounds, but is the first guy off the bench standing up and cheering for the second and third stringers when they get into the game. For a guy who is definitely the face of the team it is great to see him as excited as anyone else in all facets of the game.

Michael Porter - Made some turnovers down the stretch, but really seems to be playing with confidence right now and looks like a much improved player. Hopefully this continues.

Thumbs Down:

Darius Miller - I realize he is just going through freshman struggles, but it was tough to watch tonight. He has great potential and he will get better, much better. But tonight was a performance he would like to forget.
