TKB: The Cats and Tigers Edition

  • Rating: No Rating

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Krystal Ball. First a big thanks to Faith Ann and William Daniels for chiming in with their own picks and I should have listened to you on the LSU game.

A 5-1 record last week puts the slate at 61-10 so far for the year. Another big weekend in the SEC so let's get to it.

Kentucky at Missouri- (NOON ESPNU)- The Wildcats make a trip into Columbia for a first trip to play the Tigers who are reeling badly right now.

Mizzou looks to be without James Franklin again which is a huge bonus for the Cats. On the Kentucky side Patrick Towles looks to able to play again for UK. The combination of Whitlow and Towles actually gets me excited for this game.

I really want to pick the Cats in this one but I am going to go with the homestanding Tigers.

Krystal Ball Says- Missouri 24-20

Tennessee at South Carolina- (NOON ESPN)- What a difference two weeks makes down in Columbia. They have gone from possible National Title contenders to a team trying to shake off two straight losses.

Lucky for them they face a Volunteer team who is also struggling and the Gamecocks should win this one. A win here would give USC its first three game win streak against UT ever.

Krystal Ball Says- South Carolina 34-17

Ole MIss at Arkansas- (12:21 SEC Network)- The Razorbacks seems to have finally righted their ship and have a good chance at making a bowl game.

The Rebels would like to spring the upset here to keep their bowl hopes alive. I think John L. Smith's club takes this one.

Krystal Ball Says- Arkansas 38-21

Florida vs. Georgia- Game played in Jacksonville- (3:30 CBS)- The Gators have taken firm control of the SEC East with wins over LSU and South Carolina.

We all know what the Dawgs did last week and that performance doesn't bode too well, at least for me, in this one.

Krystal Ball Says- Florida 31-17

Texas A&M at Auburn- (7:00 ESPNU)- The Aggies lost a tough one to LSU last week while the Tigers dropped one to Vandy. It is amazing to see what has happened to Gene Chizik with the Auburn faithful in just two short years but his seat is definitely getting pretty hot.

The problem for the Tigers is their offense is horrible. I see Johnny Manziel running up some big numbers in this one.

Krystal Ball Says- Texas A&M- 28-20

UMASS at Vanderbilt- (7:00 Fox Sports South)- The Commodores got a big win over Auburn last week and seem to be on course for another bowl game come December.

The Minutemen are pretty horrible and I see Vandy romping in this one.

Krystal Ball Says- Vanderbilt 42-7

MIssissippi State at Alabama- (8:30 ESPN)- The Bulldogs are 7-0 and are feeling pretty good about their team.

The Tide are pardon the pun Rolling even though they haven't played the greatest competition so far.

If this game were in Starkville I might think the Bulldogs have a chance but it isn't so unless Nick Saban's club is looking ahead to LSU next week, they will win fairly easily,

Krystal Ball Says- Alabama 34-17

LSU has the week off to get ready for Alabama next week. Thanks for reading and I'll see you in 7.

I am glad you picked UK,...I really thought about it and deep down for some reason I think they are going to do it.

I am so happy for Cobb..although I am kicking myself for not getting him in my Fantasy football league when I had a chance.
