Hello everyone and welcome back to another Krystal Ball. Last week was a pretty good one, going 8-3, making the season record 21-3 so far. Another week in the SEC with a couple of interesting match-ups so here we go.
Western Kentucky at Kentucky- (7:00 ESPNU)- The Cats found some offensive spark in the second half against Kent State last week and hope for some carry over in this one.
The Toppers played Alabama pretty well, only losing 35-0 and I know some WKU fans and they thank they can win this one.
I think it will be a pretty close one with the Cats pulling away in the second half.
Krystal Ball Says- Kentucky 24-14
Louisiana-Monroe at Auburn- (12:21 SEC Network)- The War Hawks shocked the SEC and the nation with their upset win over Arkansas last week. The Tigers are 0-2 and are struggling and a lot of people are picking ULM to pull another upset. I don't think it will happen but I do think it will be close.
Krystal Ball Says- Auburn 28-21
Presbyterian at Vanderbilt- (12:30 Comcast Sports)- I really don't know anything about Presbyterian but the Commodores are 0-2 and need a win bad.
Krystal Ball Says- Vanderbilt 35-10
Texas A&M at SMU- (3:30 Fox Sports South)- The Aggies got a tough introduction to the SEC losing a tough game to Florida.
Even on the road I think A&M takes this one.
Krystal Ball Says- Texas A&M 31-14
Alabama at Arkansas- (3:30 CBS)- Let's face it there was a whole lot more excitment about this game a week ago before the Razorbacks shocking loss to ULM. When you take into consideration QB Tyler Wilson may not play and the Hogs defense can't stop anyone, you have to go with the defending National Champions.
Krystal Ball Says- Alabama 28-17
Florida at Tennessee- (6:00 ESPN)- This one looks to be a very good game. The Vols haven't beaten the Gators in 7 years and after two blow-out wins UT is now ranked in the Top 25.
UF gutted out a tough win at Texas A&M last week and QB Jeff Driskel has played well so far.
I am going out on a limb here and pick the upset in this one.
Krystal Ball Says- Tennessee 24-21
UAB at South Carolina- (7:00 Fox Sports South)- The Game Cocks looked great under back-up QB Dylan Thompson last week and with Marcus Lattimore to handle the ball could probably give Connor Show another week's rest in this one.
Krystal Ball Says- South Carolina- 38-10
Arizona State at Missouri- (7:00 ESPN2)- The Tigers also got a rude welcome to the SEC last week falling apart in the second half against Georgia.
This week they play a Sun Devil squad who is 2-0 so far and have looked good. This could be a whale of a game but I am going to go with the home Tigers in this one.
Krystal Ball Says- Missouri- 34-28
Mississippi State at Troy- (7:00 ESPN3)- So far in the early season, the Bulldogs have been a pleasant surprise starting at 2-0. It is a little odd for an SEC team to be playing at a Sun Belt school but that is what we have here.
I don't see the Bulldogs having much trouble in this one but MSU has struggled agains teams they are supposed to handle.
Krystal Ball Says- Mississippi State 31-14
Florida Atlantic at Georgia- (7:30 Comcast Sports)- The Bulldogs blew out Missouri on the road in the second half last week. This week they return "Between the Hedges" to take on the Owls who are one of the worst teams in football. The Bulldogs starters should get a lot of rest in this one.
Krystal Ball Says- Georgia 52-7
Idaho at LSU- (8:00 ESPN3)- The Tigers looked great in beating Washington last week. This week they get to play a Vandals squad who is 0-2 and have only scored 1 touchdown this season.
Krystal Ball Says- LSU 49-3
Texas at Ole Miss- (9:15 ESPN)- Sophomore QB Bo Wallace has looked great in the first two games under new Head Coach Hugh Freeze. ( I have to work that guy's name in every week.)
However they take a big step up this week when they face the Longhorns who are one of the better Defenses in football.
Krystal Ball Says- Texas 33-17
That is it for this week, thanks for reading and for supporting KSN.

Comment by The Krystal Ball on September 17, 2012 at 12:30pm Well 10-2 isn't too bad for the week, looks like all the Western fans I know were right.
REally thought UT would beat Florida.
It might start to get really bad down in Fayetteville if they dont get it together. The Hogs looked horrible against Alabama.
