Hello everyone and welcome back to another Krystal Ball. Last week was another good one for the 'Ol Ball going 6-0 making the season record 46-6. It is a huge weekend in the SEC this weekend so let's get right to it.
Mississippi State at Kentucky- (12:21- SEC Network)- For one half last week the Cats looked like the 6th ranked team in American and not South Carolina. Unfortunately the Gamecocks woke up and played like USC in the second half.
Also unfortunate was the loss of Max Smith most likely for the season. In his place true freshmen Jalen Whitlow and Patrick Towles will play QB for the Cats. This of course means Towles will no longer be redshirted.
The Bulldogs are trying to go 5-0 for the first time since 1999 but have only beat one team with a winning record.
The games between these two are almost always close and the fact we have no idea what the freshmen are going to do makes this one interesting for me anyway.
Krystal Ball Says- Mississippi State 28-20
Arkansas at Auburn- (NOON- ESPN2)- This is a match-up of two of the more disappointing teams in football this season. The Tigers are horrible on offense while the Razorbacks are horrible on defense. Someone has to win this game and I am going with the home team.
Krystal Ball Says- Auburn 21-17
LSU at Florida- (3:30- CBS)- The first of two huge games in the SEC this weekend. The Gators are 4-0 and seem to be playing well right now.
The Tigers are 5-0 but have struggled badly in the last two games. Their defense is still top notch but I am going to go with the Gators to win in "The Swamp."
Krystal Ball Says- Florida 24-21
Texas A&M at Ole Miss-(7:00 ESPNU)- The Rebels have been much better than many thought they would be so far this year. However in this one they run into a very strong Aggies team especially on defense. I think A&M takes this one.
Krystal Ball Says- Texas A&M 31-21
Georgia at South Carolina- (7:00 ESPN)- This is thee nightcap in "Separation Saturday, a battle for the SEC East. The Bulldogs scored lots of points last week against Tennessee but played no defense.
As mentioned before the Gamecocks woke up in the second half to defeat Kentucky.
I really thought about picking Georgia in this one, but with the news they have lost star WR Michael Bennett for the rest of the year, I think the Carolina defense will hold strong and take charge of the SEC East.
Krystal Ball Says- South Carolina 27-23
Vanderbilt at Missouri- (7:00 Fox Sports South)- The Tigers got a nice road win over Central Florida last week while the Commodores had the week off. Number 1 recruit Dorial Green-Beckham finally broke out last week for UM and I think they will hold off Vandy in what could be another close game.
Krystal Ball Says- Missouri 20-14
Tennessee and Alabama have the week off. That is it for this week, thanks for reading and as always I would like to hear your comments. See you in 7.

Comment by The Krystal Ball on October 7, 2012 at 3:32pm Oh well 4-2 for the week. I cant believe VAndy beat Missouri at MU.
Comment by The Krystal Ball on October 4, 2012 at 4:30pm So breaking news of sorts, Missouri has suspended five players for the game on Saturday due to a pot bust. Beckham is one of them. That will definiely hurt Mizzou but I am going to stay with my pick.
