Hello everyone and welcome back to another Krystal Ball. A little later than usual but still the same mix of picks and attempted humor.
Much like the UK Football team a bit of a down week last week going 5-2, putting the season record at 66-12. It is another huge SEC week so let's get to it.
Vanderbilt at Kentucky- (NOON ESPNU)- The Cats are coming off a bad loss at Missouri last week while the Commodores got a blow out win over Massachusetts.
In years past Kentucky could always count on the Vandy game as a win as it tried to march to a bowl game. Now the tables have turned as James Franklin's club needs two wins to become bowl eligible in back to back years for the first time since the 1980's.
If you are looking for a positive, KSN favorite Allison Williams will be doing the side-line reporting for this game. Long time readers will now what I am talking about. Otherwise Google is your friend.
Krystal Ball Says- Vanderbilt 27-17
Texas A&M at Mississippi State- (NOON ESPN)- The Bulldogs got hammered at Alabama last week while the Aggies destroyed Auburn and probably sealed the fate of Gene Chizik.
This should be a great game and I think Johnny Manziel and company will be too much for MSU even in Starkville.
Krystal Ball Says- Texas A&M 34-27
Missouri at Florida- (NOON ESPN2)- If you are following at home that is three SEC games on three SEC Networks at NOON Saturday.
The Gators dropped a tough one against Georgia last week while the Tigers got their first SEC win against Kentucky. I think Florida bounces back in this one.
Krystal Ball Says- Florida 31-14
Troy at Tennessee- (NOON Fox Sports South)- So now this is four games at NOON on Saturday. The Vols nearly beat South Carolina in Columbia last week and step out of conference for a game with Troy. UT should have no problem in this one.
Krystal Ball Says- Tennessee 42-14
Tulsa at Arkansas- (12:21 SEC Network)- The Razorbacks hope for a winning season pretty much ended last week in a home loss to Ole Miss. Tulsa is a good team so this one might be pretty close.
Krystal Ball Says- Arkansas 28-24
New Mexico State at Auburn- (12:30 Comcast Sports)- The wheels have pretty much come off down in Auburn and it seems only a matter of time before Gene Chizik is the ex-coach of the Tigers. A loss here to one of the worst teams in college football would probably do it.
Krystal Ball Says- Auburn 35-20
Ole Miss at Georgia- (3:30 CBS)- If I had a vote for SEC Coach of the Year it would go to Hugh Freeze of the Rebels. However going into Athens and pulling off a win is going to be a tough test. Marc Richt's club got a huge win over Florida last week and as long as they don't let down they should win here.
Krystal Ball Says- Georgia 31-21
Alabama at LSU- (8:00 CBS)- Time for the annual Game of the Year in the SEC. It is hard to believe the Tigers are a 10 point underdog at home but that is how well the Tide have been playing this year.
Nick Saban's club has won 11 straight games on the road, a remarkable feat. The last loss came at LSU in 2010. I think Bama marches on towards another BCS Title Game.
Krystal Ball Says- Alabama 21-14
South Carolina has the week off. Thanks for reading and as always feel free to post your picks below. See you in 7.
