Hello everyone and welcome to another Krystal Ball. Last week was a pretty good one going
5-2 missing the Ole Miss- Auburn and Vandy-Missouri games. That puts my season record at 48-8. My cohort Faith Ann was 6-1 last week.
Another big week in the SEC so let's get right to it.
Alabama at Kentucky- (7:00 ESPN2)- The Wildcats staged a furious 4th quarter comeback against South Carolina last week and came within a couple of stops of possibly driving to tie the game.
The last of four straight Top 20 ranked teams to face the Cats is also the best. AJ McCarron and the two time defending National Champs Roll into Lexington.
Nick Saban's club isn't really blowing folks out this year, just coming in and in workmanlike fashion getting the win. That is what they will do here.
Krystal Ball Says- Alabama 38-13
MIssouri at Georgia- (NOON ESPN)- The Bulldogs are racking up wins this year but almost as many injuries. Four of their offensive starters including star RB Todd Gurley may not play this week.
The Tigers have been the surprise team in the SEC so far this season and a lot of folks are picking the upset. However I think much like last week Aaron Murray finds a way to get it done.
Krystal Ball Says- Georgia 42-38
South Carolina at Arkansas- (12:21 SEC Network)- This is another game where folks are picking an upset.
We all know how what happened to USC last week in the 4th quarter against UK. Usually that means the next week's opponent gets an angry bunch. Combine that with the fact a motivated Jadevon Clowney will play on Saturday more than tips it in favor of the Gamecocks.
Krystal Ball Says- South Carolina 27-21
Western Carolina at Auburn- (2:00 ESPN Game Plan)- After the big win last week against Ole Miss, the Tigers step out of conference this week and are a 43 point favorite.
I don't think they will cover but they will win easily.
Krystal Ball Says- Auburn 45-10
Florida at LSU- (3:30 CBS)- The Tigers have been scoring points in bunches running up 59 last week on Mississippi State.
The Gators have looked good since Tyler Murphy took over for Jeff Driscoll. I think LSU's defense will be too much here.
Krystal Ball Says- LSU 28-17
Bowling Green at Mississippi State- (7:30 Fox Sports South)- The Bulldogs got hammered by LSU last week and look to take it out on the Falcons.
They are the best team in the MAC but I think the SEC wins this one pretty easily.
Krystal Ball Says- Mississippi State 31-14
Texas A&M at Ole Miss- (8:30 ESPN)- The last game of the day in the SEC might also be one of the best. Both teams can score lots of points and probably will.
I think the difference comes down to the Aggies having the best player on the field in Johnny Manziel. He will make the plays to win the game for A&M
Krystal Ball Says- Texas A&M 48-38
Tennessee and Vanderbilt have the week off. As always feel free to post your picks below. Thanks for reading and for supporting KSN.
